A search, not a portal
Cavalma does not run a rental portal, and this page is not a shopfront of everything currently available. What you see here, when a property is shown, is a small and deliberately narrow selection. The wider register - and the properties an owner prefers not to publish - is discussed privately, once the office understands what is actually being asked for.
The starting point is always a conversation about the shape of the stay: a season, a school year, a fortnight over the holidays, or a home for daily life. That single distinction - long-term or short-term - changes almost everything else about how a requirement is understood and how a property is matched to it.
How a requirement is understood
Rather than filtering a database, the office listens for the detail that a filter cannot capture: the school run, a quiet working spring, proximity to Málaga or Gibraltar, an orientation that keeps a terrace usable in August, a household that needs staff accommodation or simply silence. Approximate dates, budget and a sense of how the property will be lived in are enough to begin.
Only once that picture is reasonably clear does the office begin proposing residences - privately, and in small numbers, rather than as a long list to sort through.
Verification before a viewing
Before anything is shown, terms are confirmed directly with the owner - availability, price, condition and what is and is not included. Nothing is presented that the office cannot actually deliver, and no viewing is arranged until that confirmation is in hand.
Marbella and the Costa del Sol
Long-term and short-term demand behave differently across this coast - the daily rhythm of Nueva Andalucía or the Golden Mile is not the rhythm of a summer fortnight in Sotogrande or on the New Golden Mile. The office works across Marbella and the surrounding coast and tailors the search to the setting rather than treating the coastline as one interchangeable market.
- Is everything you have available shown on this page?
- No. A meaningful part of what can be arranged is never published. The office discusses it directly, once it understands what you are looking for.
- What is the difference between long-term and short-term rental here?
- Long-term is a home for daily life - relocation, a school year, a season - matched to schools, orientation and routine. Short-term is a stay for defined dates, treated as a coordinated hospitality experience rather than a simple booking.
- What do you need from me to begin?
- Approximate dates, an idea of area or setting, and how the property will be used. That is enough for the office to start a private search.
- Are prices and availability confirmed before I view a property?
- Yes. Terms are always confirmed directly with the owner before any viewing is arranged, so nothing shown to you turns out to be unavailable or inaccurate.
