A security deposit is the amount held as security for the vehicle itself for the duration of a rental. It is not a payment for the rental, and it is not a fee. It exists because a self-drive rental places a valuable car in a client's hands for a period of days, and the deposit is the standard way that responsibility is recognised in the rental agreement.
The deposit is set per vehicle
Cavalma does not publish one deposit for the whole fleet. Each car published for self-drive rental carries its own deposit, recorded against that vehicle and shown on its page. The range across the current fleet is wide, and it broadly follows the value and the replacement cost of the car: a compact city car and a limited-production supercar are not treated alike.
This is deliberate. A single fleet-wide deposit would either be unreasonably high for the smaller cars or unreasonably low for the top of the fleet. Publishing the figure per vehicle means the number you see is the number that applies to the car you are actually considering.
Where the exact figure is shown
The deposit for a given car appears on that car's page, in the rental conditions shown alongside the prices. It is published as part of the same record that holds the rental prices, the mileage allowance and the extra-kilometre charge, so the commercial picture for that vehicle is read in one place rather than assembled from a general page.
